Z Bones is seeking a professional pet groomer for full-time position on Bainbridge Island, WA. This position requires an enthusiastic approach to dog grooming and care, and requires humane treatment of all dogs at all times. There is strong potential growth for a talented, motivated individual. Professional grooming at 1+ years experience is required. The candidate should be familiar with and have experience with any grooming cuts and styles for various breeds of all sizes. The facility provides the necessary equipment, space, and shampoos. Because this position requires interactions with both clients and store staff, the groomer must be a team player and able to communicate effectively. Full-Time Groomer Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a grooming academy or apprenticeship
- Complete understanding of common grooming tools, equipment, and procedures
- A portfolio of prior grooms and client references
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to schedule their own time in accordance with client needs
- Ability to take direction easily and work within a management structure
- Additional Qualifications to be Considered: NDGAA, IPG, or ISCC or equivalent certifications
